Refit Between Bookings: A Holiday Let Changeover Playbook

Every Noosa holiday let eventually needs the big shuffle: a furniture package swap, a styling refresh before peak season, or a full refit after a sale. The catch is the calendar — the work has to happen in the gap between one guest’s 10am checkout and the next arrival, or in a deliberately blocked-out window that’s costing you nightly revenue the whole time it’s open.

The playbook that works: totes delivered the morning the window opens (our delivery slots all run before 2pm for exactly this reason). Linen, kitchenware and décor pack fast into uniform crates — labelled per room so the unpack at the storage unit or the next property is a mirror image. The dolly moves five loaded totes a trip, which matters in a three-storey walk-up on the Hill.

Weather-resistance earns its keep here too: quilts and cushions travelling between properties in an open trailer survive a surprise shower inside a sealed tote in a way cardboard never will.

For managers doing this more than occasionally, our property manager plans put changeovers on subscription — book from a dashboard in two minutes, points roll over through the quiet season, and there’s no quote-and-invoice dance per job. The pre-peak refresh blitz basically funds itself from the winter’s banked points.
